Club History
The Macon Exchange Club was founded on July 13, 1923, and has been enriching the life of Macon and the surrounding community for 86 years. In 1942, the Macon Exchange Club took over the operation of the Georgia State Fair, and in 1982 the Macon Chamber of Commerce conveyed ownership of the State Fair to the Macon Exchange Club. The State Fair is the Macon Exchange Club's top fundraiser to support local projects within the community. All proceeds from the Georgia State Fair are returned to the community through charitable projects.
